Tweetups are informal opportunities for people who know each other on social media (Like Twitter) to meet in real life. Watch the Twitter hashtags #TriSciTweetup (for the Research Triangle region of North Carolina), #NYCSciTweetup (New York City, natch), #DCSciTweetup (Washington, D.C.), and #LASciTweetup for details about when to meet with other science-loving Twitter users – or is it Twitter-loving science users – over food and drinks.
Stay tuned for information about more ScienceOnline groups starting up: Denver, San Diego, Washington, DC.
ScienceOnlineTeen – A one-day conference for high school students, teachers and others is planned for April 2013 in New York City.
